The StudiOH! Dairies - Always late to the party

Always late to the party
Always. Every time.
I'm not one to jump onto a bandwagon, usually for fear of it running me over. It takes time for me to realise something is worth pursuing, or even to work out if that thing is simply just a good idea. I have been known to take procrastination to a whole new level.
Take art fairs for example. You'd think that I'd be all over them like gesso on a new canvas. Perhaps it's my inner critic being a sod, or maybe it's the big black fear monster that's constantly poking me in the shoulder with its boney, accusatory finger and whispering with it's raspy breath into my ear "you're not gooood enooouuugh!"
But I think that the time has come to bite the bullet (possibly the one that I've put down my fear monster with) and start applying for art fairs.
It won't be easy as I live in the back of beyond. There is literally no art community within throwing distance to where I call home, so motivation from like minded individuals is a commodity that is in short supply. Thank heavens for the socials, eh?
Watch this space, I'll let you know how it goes.
Other updates
I'm always tinkering with the website so if you haven't been over there for a while it's had a bit of a spruce up.
While I was putting the finishing touches to it, it occurred to me that there might be a few people who need their websites upgrading or redesigning? There may even be artists out there who still do not have a dedicated web presence outside social media?
With that in mind I'm considering putting some advice online for those who find all that code talk intimidating. I've been at this game for years. Literally, my first site went up in 2001, and I've been blogging since way before that, too. So I might be in a position to pass on some pearls of wisdom. We'll see.
